Rugby Future Vision
Rugby Future Vision

We will achieve this by providing a welcoming inclusive, enjoyable and safe environment, with top class facilities and support, encouraging all players, coaches, referees and administrators to reach their full potential.

Wanderers JAB VISION:

To create a Positive Learning Environment for all our children that will be:

Active
 •      Based on small-sided games/activities that include everyone,

are enjoyable, and have an element of competition to develop

        players’ skills
 •     Encouraging skill learning for everyone (slow starters may be

       successful later)
 •     Keeping activity levels high - less talking, more activity

Purposeful
•     Only focusing on one or two key factors at a time
•     Involving players in their own learning through asking questions
•     Allowing all players to experience every playing position

       -  the prop of today could be the halfback tomorrow!
•     Using a range of different coaching styles during sessions
•     Reviewing sessions through self-reflection, discussion with

      other coaches and players

Enjoyable
•     Sessions will be fun, varied, and enjoyable for all
•     Rewarding effort as well as achievement - ensuring players

understand that success comes from working to be better

players; Avoiding a 'win at all costs’ attitude
•     Promoting respect for opponents, match officials and

       spectators

Safe
•     We will ensure all activities are safe – all coaches will complete

the Rugby Ready and concussion management

•     Online learning modules guaranteeing their suitability to coach

      children
•    We will stop the session immediately if safety is being

     compromised
•    We will include appropriate warm-up and cool-down every time

to ensure the players development and competencies
•    We will be consistent when dealing with poor behaviour.
